Brief description Ul Verein Saar-Pfalz E.v.
UL Verein Saar-Pfalz e.V.<\/b> is an ultralight flight club located at Flugplatz Pirmasens (EDRP) in southwestern Germany. Founded in 1983, it is a center for ultralight aviation with over 140 active members. The club operates from the Pottschütthöhe airfield and is a shareholder in the non-profit airfield operator consortium.
The club offers complete training for the Sport Pilot License SPL-F for aerodynamically controlled ultralights (3-axis), including theory and practical flight training on club-owned aircraft such as FK9 and C42. Training for the 120 kg class ultralight aircraft is also available. Regular courses for the BZF 1 international radio communication license are organized.
The club life is active with monthly meetings, a summer festival, and provision of affordable hangar space for private aircraft. Trial flights are available for non-members. The club promotes experience sharing with members including examiners, flight instructors, and a medical flight examiner supporting newcomers.
Located at the Pirmasens airfield (EDRP), the club benefits from good facilities including two large hangars and an open atmosphere with a mix of ultralight aircraft types from trikes to gyrocopters and self-built aircraft.
