Routine En Route Traffic Information

CENTRE: OE-DMS, traffic at your two o'clock, three miles, climbing through eight-thousand five-hundred feet, Airbus A three-two-zero.
PILOT: OE-DMS, traffic in sight.
CENTRE: OE-DMS, ROGER, continue.
Analysis: ATC provided traffic information (a nearby aircraft climbing). You reported it in sight. This is standard traffic avoidance communication. If you had NOT seen the traffic, you would respond "OE-DMS, negative contact, request vectors."
