Luftsportverein Kiel e.V.<\/b> is an established aviation club based at Kiel-Holtenau Airport (ICAO: EDHK), Germany, with a dedicated motorflight group of about 120 members and 90 active pilots. The club operates a fleet of 2- and 4-seater, noise-protected aircraft including models such as Robin HR 200\/120 B, multiple Cessna 172 variants, Piper Archer PA28, and Diamond Super Dimona motor gliders, suitable for both training and recreational flying. Members undertake diverse flights from local excursions to long tours across Europe and North Africa.
The club provides comprehensive pilot training from beginner to advanced levels, offering Private Pilot License (PPL-A) and Light Aircraft Pilot License (LAPL-A) with theoretical and practical instruction. Training includes night VFR and radio communication certifications (BZF I and II). Experienced volunteer instructors conduct the courses, with official examination by authorized examiners.
Additional services include introductory flights and sightseeing tours at cost price with routes jointly planned by pilots and passengers, accommodating up to three passengers besides the pilot. Membership is required for flight training.
