Taxi and Ground Operations at Uncontrolled Fields

Taxiing at an uncontrolled aerodrome is simpler than at controlled fields. There is no ground control, no complex taxi routing, no hold-short instructions. You taxi from the apron to the runway holding point. But you still must coordinate with the information station and other traffic.

The station will provide taxi information when you request it. This typically includes the taxiway designation (A, B, C, etc.) and the active runway. Some stations also provide wind and QNH at this time. If not, you request them separately.
