The Pressure Scenario

During a real IFR flight, ATC may issue multiple clearances in succession, often with little time for note-taking. The radio environment is busy, other aircraft are transmitting, and you must remain calm, accurate, and professional.

Imagine the following situation: You are descending from FL 110 to 5,000 feet, 20 miles from Munich. Approach issues multiple clearances in rapid succession:

APPROACH: OE-DMS, reduce speed to one-two-zero knots immediately, descend to five-thousand feet, turn left heading zero-eight-zero.
