PHASE 12: APPROACH CLEARANCE AND VECTORS

Timeline: T+1:30 (90 minutes after takeoff, 10 minutes until landing)

You are now at 3,000 feet, established on the vectors for the approach. Munich Approach will now clear you for the instrument approach.

Approach Clearance

Munich Approach · OE-DMS

APPROACH: OE-DMS, turn left heading zero-nine-zero, descend to two-thousand five-hundred feet. Cleared approach ILS runway zero-eight right. Transition to Munich Tower on one-one-eight decimal zero-five when established on the approach.

PILOT: Left heading zero-nine-zero, descend two-thousand five-hundred feet, CLEARED approach ILS runway zero-eight right, Munich Tower one-one-eight decimal zero-five when established, OE-DMS.

Analysis: The approach clearance included:

A heading (090)
A descent (2,500 feet)
The approach type (ILS runway 08 right)
A frequency for later (Tower, to contact when established)
