Fly the Cessna 172S from walk-around to landing in 22 short videos: the cockpit, preflight and fuel, start and run-up, takeoff, the circuit and landing, cruise and leaning, the performance charts, weight and balance, and the emergencies. The first video is free.
A new video course for glider pilots and anyone curious about gliding: 34 short videos, from what gliding is and how thermals work to the polar curve, ridge and wave, cross-country flights, competitions and the emergencies that matter. The first video is free.
You can now report a Community message, review or comment that breaks the rules. We look at every report right away.
The glossary now explains the phonetic alphabet, Zulu time, the AIP, Q-codes, minimums, VMC and IMC, UNICOM, knots, Special VFR, pushback, the German radio certificates and each special squawk code, and many existing terms got fuller explanations.
You can open and close collapsible sections, like the providers in the question catalogs or the FAQ, with Tab and Enter. Closed sections no longer catch the keyboard focus.
Prices now follow your language, for example 25,50 € in German and €25.50 in English, and paid buttons in the question catalogs say when a price is per month.
Catalogs you haven't unlocked now show that you can open them: look through the chapters and questions, and practise the free questions of the day. The catalogs you're working on come first, and on a phone the page fits more on one screen.
Next to the Question of the day there's now a Chat of the day: one open chat for everyone that starts fresh every day. You can also join it by voice.
Look up over 240 aircraft: the gliders, motor gliders and microlights clubs fly, trainers, business jets, airliners and every real aircraft in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. Each has V-speeds, weights, fuel and tanks, runway length, the licence you need and scale drawings from top, side and front.
Take the Skill Check, then plan with Roger, your personal flight instructor, toward your goal. For PPL(A), PPL(H), SPL, BPL and PU the bites cover every exam subject section by section, plus the radio licence; tell Roger what you aim for and what you already have. Every daily bite is put together for you from exam questions, clips, theory, the trainers and flights. Roger's chat sits right next to your bites: ask anything, see your weak spots, replan or pick your next bite in one tap. Find bites under School.
Saying an ATIS letter or a taxiway the ICAO way, like information India or via Echo, now counts as correct in your simulator feedback, your debriefs and Roger's notes.
Flight school pages now show the aircraft a school flies as drawings that open each type's specs. Schools pick their fleet from our aircraft list and can ask us to add a type that is missing.
The support assistant can now play a short explainer video right in the chat and show a glossary card that opens the full term.
The Community page now shows how many people are on it right now, and the number updates as people arrive and leave.
Pages with paid content now show what a plan unlocks there, with a Get access button that lists the matching plans and prices.
After every skill evaluation, Roger notes topic by topic what it showed and puts your weakest topics first in your bites. Open an evaluation to see what changed and jump straight to your bites. Your plan shows Roger's level and note for each topic, and you can tell Roger in the chat what you have practised since.
The glossary now opens with an overview: browse the terms by topic, filter the list with one click, and jump straight to the terms that have an explainer video.
When you're signed in, aerodromes, aircraft types, flight schools, instructors, frequencies and the pricing pages now open inside the app with your sidebar. The tool pages also read better on phones.
The pay button is always ready to click. If the box for starting your access right away is still unticked, we point you to it and say why it is needed.
Every package on the pricing page now has a Buy now button. Pick your term and pay in one step, without opening the product page first.
Key numbers, like an aircraft's speed and weight or a country's flight school count, now sit on dark-blue tiles in the same style as your dashboard.
If you have not trained for a couple of days, we send a short reminder with the one thing to do next. You can turn these off under Notifications.
Busy stretch? You can now pause your monthly subscription for 1 to 3 months instead of cancelling. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and billing restarts by itself.
You can now enter a discount code right where you buy. If you already get a discount, we show both side by side, with your first and later payments, and you choose which one to use.
If your subscription already has a discount, the 20% survey thank-you now comes as a code for your next purchase instead of replacing it.
Your road to the licence now includes the steps outside the app: the medical, the exams, your first solo and the skill test. Tick them off when they happen, and set your exam date to see how many correct answers a day get you there in time.
A sign-in link you request in the Android app now opens the app and signs you in there, instead of the website.
The simulator now speaks the controller's reply as soon as it is decided, and common calls like start-up, taxi, take-off, landing and handoffs are phrased instantly. Your instructor feedback follows a moment later.
Pop-up messages that arrived while LearnATC sat in a background tab no longer all appear at once when you come back. You still find every one of them in your notification bell.
When you switch the site to English, it now stays in English as you move between pages.
Turn on traffic in the simulator settings and you are no longer alone on the frequency: other aircraft call in, get their clearances and read back while you fly, in free flight and in scenarios, and ATC sequences you around them.
The dashboard now shows a short road to your license, from the basics through the subjects and a mock exam to the radio license, with one next step at a time. It moves on its own as you train, and you can hide it.
When the support assistant sends you a button to a page, its answer now appears once instead of twice.
When you read back a start-up approval or ask to taxi to the active runway, ATC now answers your actual call. The first start-up request of a scenario gets its reply right away.
A new free flight, or a scenario without its own aerodrome, now starts at an aerodrome in your country, so ATC can talk to you in your language.
Ctrl+K search now lists our pages as well, so typing Pricing, Privacy, Terms or a trainer name like METAR takes you straight there.
We checked all 24 VFR and IFR radiotelephony lessons against ICAO, SERA and the Austrian and German AIPs and corrected their phraseology, units, runways and frequencies, so the lessons now match the video courses.
The dashboard now shows how far you are in each subject of the license you're training for, measured against the 75% pass mark. Tap the license to switch it, or pick 'Not decided yet' or 'Other' and type yours in.
Your dashboard now shows a free radio question to answer right there, a new one every day. It counts toward your daily questions goal.
Tune the ATIS frequency in the simulator and you hear the airport's current broadcast with its information letter, like at a real airport.
The instructor now checks only the items a readback must contain, accepts them in any order and with common short forms, and never makes you repeat the same readback more than twice.
Your first simulator flight now starts at the apron with start-up and taxi, and the example calls always match the scenario you are flying and name the station the way ATC does.
ATC keeps track of your airport, callsign, runway, QNH and every clearance for the whole flight, also after you reload the page.
ATC's reply shows as soon as it is ready, and the voice starts playing while it is still being generated, so you wait several seconds less after each call.
The End flight button in the simulator's top bar finishes your flight with a debrief or starts a new one, on phone and tablet too.
At AFIS and radio airfields you now get information instead of clearances, as you would there. At French and Italian airfields ATC answers in French or Italian when you call in that language.
In the ATC trainer only the aircraft you call answers, pilots read back exactly what you said, and flight strips show every aircraft's plan and request.
New transmissions in the listening trainer play with the radio effect, like the rest of the trainers.
A red badge on Community in the menu now counts the messages you have not read yet, and each channel in the Community shows its own count.
When you buy a gift or a voucher, you can enter the recipient's email and a personal message. The codes go straight to them, and you get a copy.
The flight school directory's table, filters and messages now show in your language, and counts read correctly for one school as well as many.
Before every call in Practice and the ATC trainer you now see the aerodrome, and your callsign or position, and can change them before you start.
When you release the talk button in Practice or the ATC trainer, the button confirms that your call was sent, or tells you if it was not.
The package comparison on the pricing page shows the price you pay and its term up front, groups the all-in-one packages apart from the single areas, and keeps the package names in view while you scroll. On a phone you compare two packages side by side.
An open flight school invitation now stands out in your flight school settings and on the school's page, where you can accept or decline it directly. The profile menu tells you what the red badge is about.
The left navigation now highlights the area you are in, so the Syllabus lights up Theory and the trainers light up Training.

When you buy a course or plan, the checkout now says plainly when your access starts and what that means for your right of withdrawal. Right after a one-off purchase you get a confirmation email with the details.
When you click a link, the next page is often ready before you get there, and data it needs now comes over the live connection that is already open.
The VFR and IFR radio courses now come as short videos: every call of a flight, with real exchanges at Linz and Munich, captions in all 10 languages and a player that remembers where you stopped. The first lection of each course is free, the course unlocks the rest.
Coming back to LearnATC in Safari after a while now keeps you fully signed in, so the simulator and practice open with your plan's access instead of asking you to upgrade.
Your dashboard opens with your streak, today's goals as rings and one-tap buttons for the simulator and questions. Setup shows your next step first, plans read as tidy rows on your phone, and your stats sit in one clear panel.
A search button now sits in the top bar on every page. On phones, search opens full screen with the search field right above your keyboard.
If your email and password don't match, the login page now says so and offers to reset your password or email you a sign-in link.
In every language, the browser's Back button now takes you from a product page back to the page you came from, such as Pricing.
You can now close the flight school discount banner with the X. It stays hidden for the rest of your visit, and your discount still applies at checkout.
In the menu, the pin button now sits next to the red counter instead of on top of it, for example on Flight school.
On phones, wide tables in wiki articles and lessons now scroll sideways inside the article, so the rest of the page stays in place.
Exam preparation now shows right away whether your plan includes the exam for that licence, so the Start button only appears when the exam can be built.
Calls in live practice no longer count against your free simulator transmissions. They have their own time allowance.
We strengthened how LearnATC protects your uploads, voice recordings, profile details and sign-in links.
In the Android app, the support chat input now stays directly above the on-screen keyboard while you type.
The Training button on your phone now opens every trainer, the video courses and the glossary, grouped like the desktop menu, with your remaining free uses at a glance.
All your achievements now sit at the bottom of your dashboard, with progress rings for the ones still ahead and a hint on which one is next. Your public profile shows the badges you have earned.
New accounts get a short welcome tour you can watch or hide, and a setup checklist that shows your progress. Today's goals now show how far along each one is.
When the connection drops and comes back, the notice now reads in your language instead of showing a code like websocket.connectionrestored. The same fix covers the flight school invite confirmation and the price tooltip on the pricing page.
On tablets your current lesson now sits right below Getting started, and the main button says which step it opens. Going back to the dashboard also returns you to where you left it.
A short tour video now opens the homepage and greets new accounts on the dashboard. It walks through the simulator, exam questions, trainers and tools, with subtitles in all 10 languages.
You can now switch between light and dark mode with the moon icon next to the language flag, even when you are not signed in.
Frequencies, low-visibility procedures, the minimum equipment list, marshalling signals, headings, pushback, ACARS, PAPI lights and the radio word "unable" now each have a short video explainer. Watch them in the matching wiki articles and under the glossary definitions.
Your free simulator transmissions now refill every hour: up to 10 per hour and 20 in total during your free demo week.
The ATC trainer and live Practice are part of our beta program. Join with one click on either page, or under Settings → Account, and you can leave anytime.
You can now install LearnATC on your computer and open it in its own window: choose Install app in the menu under your profile picture. On iPhone and iPad, tap Share and then Add to Home Screen.
Live practice and the ATC trainer now have their own language setting under the gear icon. ATC talks and listens in the language you pick, independent of the interface language.
Explainer videos now come with captions in every language LearnATC speaks. They start in your language, and you can switch or turn them off in the player.
The Finish button in exam preparation takes you straight to your result again: your score, whether you passed, and every answer marked.
Our mascot Roger now looks the same everywhere: on error pages, in the syntax trainer, on celebrations and in emails.
Every exam question, the glossary, question categories, FAQ pages, courses, the Turkish syllabus and many more wiki articles are now translated, and your emails follow the language you use LearnATC in.
You can now delete your own messages in Community chat, and edit or delete your own comments and reviews.
Knots, Zulu time, the phonetic alphabet, flight levels, airspace classes, TAF, CAVOK, ATIS, VOR, TCAS, go-around and approach minimums now each have a short video explainer. Watch it in the wiki article or under the definition in the glossary.
Pricing, products, flight schools, airport frequencies and other pages now always open from inside the app, even when the live connection is slow to answer.
In dark mode, airfield dots on the map stay crisp and colourful when you zoom out, and the map buttons, popups and legend match the dark theme.
Squawk codes 7500/7600/7700, Mayday, Pan-pan, wind shear and V-speeds now each come with a short video explainer. Press play right under the definition in the glossary, or in the matching wiki article.
