Structure of a PIREP:

Provide the following in order:

Your callsign and aircraft type: "HB-CDA, Piper Cherokee"
Your position and time: "20 DME east of Zurich, Flight Level 120, 1430 UTC
What you observed:
- Turbulence: "Moderate turbulence, 200 feet around Flight Level 120"
- Icing: "Light rime icing encountered Flight Level 110 to Flight Level 130"
- Visibility: "Visibility 4 kilometers in rain and mist"
- Temperature: "Outside air temperature minus 5 degrees Celsius"
- Wind: "Wind 240 degrees true, 35 knots at Flight Level 120"
What you recommend: "Other aircraft may encounter same conditions" (informational).
