Vereinigung Hanseatischer Fliegerfreunde e.V. is a non-profit flying sports club based in Hamburg, Germany, operating from the grass airfield Uetersen (EDHE), near Hamburg. With over 30 years of history and more than 15,000 flight hours logged, it offers a community-focused aviation experience emphasizing pilot training, safety, and camaraderie.
The club operates its own flight school providing pilot training for Private Pilot License (PPL (A)) and Light Aircraft Pilot License (LAPL (A)), supported by experienced instructors and modern training aircraft like the Bristell B23 equipped with BRS parachute system and Garmin avionics, as well as the TB10.
The training includes comprehensive theoretical lessons through distance learning and intensive practical flight training requiring a minimum of 30 hours for LAPL and 45 hours for PPL. The club also facilitates obtaining radio communication licenses BZF I and BZF II, necessary for VFR flying in Germany.
VHF organizes flying camps and group excursions to various locations and seasons, encouraging skill development and social interaction among members.
The club maintains its own technical crew supported by qualified members, ensuring aircraft maintenance and operational safety. It also fosters a strong sense of responsibility and community participation among pilots.
This club is well suited for student pilots seeking comprehensive flight training in a club atmosphere with access to modern light aircraft and guidance for radio communication licensing.
