Flugsportzentrum Tirol is a prominent aviation club and flight school located at Innsbruck Airport (LOWI), Austria. Founded in 1982, it has grown to be one of Austria's largest aviation clubs with over 400 members sharing a passion for powered and glider flying. The club operates a modern fleet of 14 aircraft, including single and multi-engine piston planes, light sport aircraft, touring motor gliders, and various advanced gliders.
The in-house non-profit flight school offers comprehensive pilot training programs including private pilot license (PPL), commercial pilot license (CPL) practical training, instrument ratings for single and multi-engine, night VFR, aircraft class ratings (TMG, SEP, MEP), advanced upset prevention & recovery training (A-UPRT), towing flights, flight instructor training, refresher courses for VFR & IFR, radio communication licenses, language proficiency tests, and airline screening preparation using advanced simulators.
Membership in the club is mandatory for training participation, providing access to well-maintained aircraft and modern facilities including simulators and briefing rooms. The club fosters a strong community culture with social events and group flights.
