Flugring Austria Wiener Neustadt (FRA) is one of the largest and best-known flying clubs in Austria and is based at the civil-military airfield Wiener Neustadt West (LOXN). It operates a modern fleet of powered aircraft, motor gliders and gliders, and thanks to its unique location between the Alps and the Hungarian Plain, it benefits year-round from excellent flying conditions, with six runways and extensive gliding facilities.
With over 160 members and around 30 flight instructors, including regional champions and world-class pilots, FRA offers a comprehensive range of pilot training programs such as LAPL, PPL, night VFR (NVFR), tow rating and aerobatic training.
The club is ideal for student pilots interested in both silent gliding and powered flight, and offers flexible scheduling as well as experienced instructors in a friendly community.
Its facilities include a large hangar for more than 30 private aircraft, making FRA an excellent choice for pilot training and recreational flying in Austria.
