Landing Clearance: IFR to Visual

Some aerodromes use a different phraseology where the tower issues landing instructions separately from the ILS clearance:

Precision Approach with Separate Landing Clearance

Paris Orly Tower · F-GKLM

PILOT: Orly Tower, F-GKLM, established on localizer runway 26.
ATC F-GKLM, continue approach.
PILOT: Continue approach, F-GKLM. [... ILS descent continues ...]
PILOT: Orly Tower, F-GKLM, decision height, visual with runway.
ATC: F-GKLM, runway 26 CLEARED to land, wind two-six-zero degrees eight knots, runway wet.
PILOT: Runway 26 CLEARED to land, wind two-six-zero eight, runway wet, F-GKLM.
In this case, ATC waits until you report visual contact or decision height before issuing the landing clearance. This ensures that you have the runway in sight before you continue the descent.
