Flight Information Service (FIS)

To initiate contact with FIS, use the standard initial call format you learned in Lection 5. State your callsign, aircraft type, and position. If you have not yet filed a flight plan, state your intended flight level, route, and destination. If you have filed a flight plan, the facility will have those details, so you can confirm them briefly.
