Brief description Aeroklub Śląski

Aeroklub Śląski is a licensed aviation club and training organization based at Katowice-Muchowiec Airport (ICAO: EPKM) in Poland, operating continuously since 1931. With over 160 members, mainly trained pilots of airplanes and gliders, it offers a diverse fleet of certified aircraft including Tecnam P2002-JF, Tecnam P92-JS, PS-28 Cruiser, and Cessna 172S. The club conducts comprehensive pilot training on glider and airplane licenses (SPL, LAPL(A), PPL(A)), night VFR, and specialized upset prevention training (UPRT ADVANCED). The organization holds certifications as an Approved Training Organization (ATO), Air Carrier (AOC), and a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAO), ensuring high standards of safety and airworthiness in compliance with European regulations.

Member pilots benefit from access to airport infrastructure, discounted rates on services and fuel, participation in loyalty and sport programs, and opportunities to take part in air sports including competitions and recreational flying tours over Silesia and surrounding regions. The club supports student pilots from local technical schools and universities and collaborates with other aviation entities and legal services. It also organizes airshows and various aviation events enhancing the local aviation community and public engagement.

Known for professional and theory-practical blended aviation training programs, Aeroklub Śląski offers tailored individual practical training schedules, including e-learning options for theoretical parts. Flight training uses a modern and varied fleet suited for different pilot skill levels. The club’s pilot courses emphasize regulatory compliance, practical proficiency, and progression opportunities to commercial and instructor licenses.
