Brief description Badisch-Pfälzischer Flugsportverein E. V.
Badisch-Pfälzischer Flugsportverein e. V. (BPFV) is an established flying club and flight school located at City Airport Mannheim (ICAO: EDFM), Germany. With over 50 years of experience, BPFV offers professional and flexible pilot training programs for private pilot licenses (PPL(A) and LAPL(A)). Training takes place at a busy commercial airport, allowing pilots to gain valuable experience integrating with commercial air traffic. The club maintains a modern fleet including new Tecnam P2008 JC MKII aircraft with Garmin G3X glass cockpits and several Diamond DA40 models equipped for IFR and night flying. The flight school offers theoretical instruction twice weekly with a continuous curriculum, flexible start times, and simulator training. Charter services are available exclusively for club members. BPFV supports aspiring pilots with comprehensive ground school covering aerodynamics, navigation, air law, meteorology, human performance, and radio communication. The club fosters a supportive environment for student pilots and encourages visits to experience aviation first-hand.
