Flugsportverein Eggenfelden e.V. is a traditional aviation club and flight school founded in 1950, dedicated to sharing the joy and freedom of flying. Based at Verkehrslandeplatz Eggenfelden (EDME), Germany, it provides a vibrant community for aviation enthusiasts of all ages, offering flight training and recreational flying opportunities.
The club operates a fleet including the two-seat Diamond DV20-100 Katana, favored for initial flight training, and the four-seat Cessna 172S NAVIII Skyhawk equipped with a Garmin 1000 glass cockpit suitable for night and IFR flights. Training programs cover a range of pilot licenses such as LAPL, PPL, and various instrument ratings, delivered by experienced flight instructors using modern teaching methods.
Aside from training, the club actively supports the Luftrettungsstaffel Bayern, contributing volunteer pilots and aircraft to emergency and disaster relief efforts in Bavaria. It fosters a harmonious community spirit with regular club evenings, social events, and a unique location offering excellent access to European destinations and amenities, including an on-site Italian restaurant.
