The Flugsportverein Eggenfelden e.V. is a traditional aviation club and flight school, founded in 1950, dedicated to the joy and freedom of flying. Located at Eggenfelden airfield (EDME) in Germany, it offers a lively community for aviation enthusiasts of all ages, as well as flight training and opportunities for recreational flying.
The club operates a fleet including the two-seat Diamond DV20-100 Katana, which is preferred for basic training, as well as the four-seat Cessna 172S NAVIII Skyhawk with Garmin 1000 glass cockpit, suitable for night and IFR flights. The training programs cover a broad range of pilot licenses such as LAPL, PPL and various instrument ratings, and are conducted by experienced flight instructors using modern teaching methods.
Beyond training, the club actively supports Luftrettungsstaffel Bayern and provides volunteer pilots and aircraft for emergency and disaster relief in Bavaria. It promotes a harmonious community spirit with regular club evenings, social events and a unique location with excellent connections to European destinations and amenities, including an Italian restaurant on site.
