Brief description Air Academy Gmbh
Air Academy GmbH is a flight school based in Cologne and conducts its main training activities on the Dahlemer Binz airfield, about 50 km from Cologne. The school specializes in ultralight aircraft pilot training, offering various pilot licenses including ultralight pilot license, gyrocopter training, and intensive pilot courses that can be completed in 16 days, some held on Mallorca. Due to a shortage of flight instructors, the school has currently suspended new student admissions and temporarily ceased flight school operations, focusing instead on providing information for aspiring pilots.
The main training location, Dahlemer Binz airfield, features an asphalt runway, a staffed control tower, a restaurant, and its own aircraft refueling station. The school was recognized by the German Aero Club (DAeC) and the German Ultralight Association (DULV).
Beyond training, Air Academy offers aircraft charter services, organizes flight events and excursions, operates a modern charter fleet, and supports pilots with community activities and events throughout their flying careers.
