Air Academy GmbH

Air Academy GmbH is a flight school based in Cologne, Germany, with its main training activities at the Dahlemer Binz airfield, about 50 km from Cologne. It specializes in ultralight aircraft pilot training and offers licenses including ultralight and sport pilot licenses, intensive 16-day pilot courses, gyrocopter training, passenger authorizations, and banner towing licenses.

Due to a shortage of flight instructors, the school has currently suspended new student enrollment and paused flight school operations, focusing instead on providing information to aspiring pilots. The Dahlemer Binz airfield features an 800-meter asphalt runway, staffed control tower, an airport restaurant, and its own aircraft refueling station, offering optimal conditions for training and flying excursions.

Recognized by the German Aero Club (DAeC) and the German Ultralight Association (DULV), Air Academy also offers aircraft charter services, flying events, excursions, and community activities for pilots beyond their initial training. Its main customer base comes from Cologne and nearby cities including Düsseldorf, Bonn, and Leverkusen.
