Brief description Luftfahrtvereinigung Greven E.v.

The Luftfahrtvereinigung Greven e.V. operates the Sportflugzentrum at the International MFCnster OsnabrFCCk Airport (EDDG) featuring a diverse fleet including gliders, ultralight aircraft, motor gliders, and powered airplanes. Founded in 1931, the club has about 330 members, including approximately 200 active pilots and a youth group with around 65 members. It offers comprehensive pilot training programs for LAPL and PPL licenses, covering motor, glider, and ultralight flying, as well as night flight and theoretical instruction. The airfield is located within the controlled zone of the international airport, equipped with a professional tower crew ensuring safety alongside commercial traffic. Club facilities include their own fuel station for Avgas and Super gasoline, a well-maintained grass runway available year-round without operational restrictions, workshops, hangars, sanitary facilities, a swimming pool, flight preparation and training rooms, office space, a large campsite, and a clubhouse. The association values community spirit, youth engagement, and regular training sessions to maintain pilot proficiency.

They provide training at relatively favorable costs by operating as a nonprofit club with volunteer support, expecting members to participate in maintenance activities such as aircraft handling and upkeep. The club is well integrated into the regional aviation community, fostering a collaborative and social environment for aviation enthusiasts.
