
Luftsportclub Hamm e.V. operates the Flugplatz Hamm-Lippewiesen airfield, uniquely situated near the city center of Hamm for over 50 years. The club has more than 350 members engaged in four sport groups: motorflight, gliding, ultralight flying, and ballooning.
The club offers comprehensive information on the airfield, flight training programs, and scenic flights covering regions such as Münsterland, Ruhrgebiet, Sauerland, and Lippetal, with customizable routes.
Flight training includes theoretical lessons covering 80 hours of key aviation subjects and practical training leading to licenses such as Light Aircraft Pilot License (LAPL) and Private Pilot License (PPL). The club supports obtaining radio communication licenses BZF I and BZF II.
The motorflight fleet consists of various Cessna 172 models and a Piper PA28 Archer III with a modern glass cockpit for IFR operations.
Additional services include live webcams, weather updates, a voucher shop, and environmentally friendly operations such as electric aircraft towing.
