The Motorfliegerclub Schwäbisch Hall e.V., established in 1929, is a traditional aviation club based at the Schwäbisch Hall airport in Germany. The club promotes a strong flying culture, community, and safety at its home base at Weckrieden airfield (EDTX) with convenient access to the adjacent Adolf Würth Airport (EDTY), featuring instrument landing systems for year-round flying.
With a fleet of seven well-maintained aircraft including Cessna 172S and 182S high-wing trainers, Piper PA-28 low-wing trainers, the modern Aquila A211G3X glass cockpit airplane, and the classic Piper PA-18 taildragger, the club offers a variety of flying experiences. Their flight school provides thorough pilot training following European PART-FCL standards, including PPL and LAPL licenses, night VFR, and SEP class ratings. Training occurs fully in actual aircraft rather than simulators, emphasizing practical skills.
The club offers intro flights for beginners, a cooperative and experienced instructor team, hangar facilities with fuel station, and a popular "Cockpit" restaurant with a terrace overlooking the runway. With approximately 250 members, the club maintains a community spirit alongside quality flight education.
It is a fitting choice for student pilots seeking a comprehensive training program and a vibrant flying community in Germany.
