The Rieser Flugsportverein e.V. is an active flying club based at Nördlingen airfield (EDNO), Germany, uniquely situated in one of the world's largest meteorite craters, the Nördlinger Ries. The club operates a modern fleet including the Socata TB 200, Cessna F172M, Evektor SportStar RTC, and Tomark Viper SD4 ultralight.
The club offers its members extensive flying opportunities supported by a certified flight school providing cost-effective training for various pilot licenses such as the European PPL-(A) EU-FCL-SEP or LAPL-(A)-SEP and the national ultralight SPL. Experienced instructors guide members through training and skill advancement.
Besides flying activities, the club manages the Nördlingen airfield, providing air traffic tower services, mostly on weekends and upon request for local businesses and visiting pilots. The spirit of community, hospitality, and environmental responsibility are core to the club's mission.
Established since the 1950s, the Rieser Flugsportverein hosts notable aviation events and competitions, making it an appealing hub for student pilots and aviation enthusiasts seeking an affordable and friendly flight training environment.
