Start, gaggle and leading

When to start a competition task, whether to fly with the gaggle or alone, and why leading costs while following has its own risks. With the rules and habits of team flying.

What you learn

• Time your start for the best hours, not the open gate
• Weigh the gaggle's speed against its shared mistakes
• See why leading costs and everyone waits to start
• Fly as a team: radio, the low one leads, stack up
• Join a gaggle safely and never follow into airspace
