A VFR flight plan tells air traffic services where you are going and when you will arrive. You learn when to file one, how to open and close it by radio where there is no tower, and what happens if you forget.
What you learn
- Say why and when you file a VFR flight plan
- File on the ground, and by radio only as the exception
- Activate your flight plan by radio after take-off
- Close it after landing, or by radio once landing is certain
- Explain what happens 30 minutes after your estimated arrival
