Baltic Seaplane GmbH is a German aviation company and approved flight school specialized in professional water flying training on amphibious seaplanes. Located at the water flying station in Flensburg along the Baltic Sea coast, the company focuses on EASA-compliant pilot training for single-engine piston seaplane class SEP (Sea) including initial acquisition, renewal, and extension courses. The training environment ranges from sheltered waters to challenging open-sea conditions, providing comprehensive hands-on experience.
Training primarily uses the Cessna 172P Amphibian floatplane, supplemented by practical advanced training on the Lake LA-4 Buccaneer. SEP (Land) class ratings and tailwheel aircraft training on the classic Cessna 140 are also offered. The flight school is an authorized training organization (ATO DE.SH.004) certified by the Schleswig-Holstein aviation authority and also recognized under the Thai CAAT authority.
Besides pilot training, Baltic Seaplane offers scenic and charter flights with amphibious aircraft over the Baltic coast and Mecklenburg Lake District, as well as introductory "Schnupperflug" flights allowing amateurs or pilots to try water flying under instruction. Their offerings combine regulatory compliance, personalized training programs in German and English, and a unique water flying experience tailored to enthusiasts and professional pilots.
