The Diamond Sportfliegerclub (DFC) is an Austrian aviation club located at the Dexe Flightcenter at Wiener Neustadt Ost Airport (LOAN). Founded in 1988, it offers a modern, innovative environment for passionate flyers. The club's fleet includes Katana DV20, Katana DA20, Diamond DA40 TDi 155PS, and Beechcraft Bonanza aircraft for members to enjoy sport flying.
DFC operates its own flight school providing pilot training options, including the Private Pilot License (PPL), Light Aircraft Pilot License (LAPL), and Night Visual Flight Rules (NVFR) rating, with experienced instructors and theoretical courses held mainly in the evenings or weekends.
The home base offers modern hangars with electric turntables for aircraft storage and an online booking system for members. The club does not require attendance at events or community work but encourages social club nights with educational presentations.
DFC also has an active local presence with news, events, a fan shop, and webcams monitoring the LOAN and LOAV airfields, fostering a practical and engaging aviation environment for enthusiasts to pursue their flying dreams.
