Flugring Austria Wiener Neustadt (FRA) is one of the largest aviation clubs in Austria, located at the military-civil airfield Wiener Neustadt West (LOXN). The club operates a modern fleet including motor aircraft, motor gliders, and gliders, offering excellent year-round flying conditions due to its unique location between the Alps and the Hungarian plain with six runways and extensive glider facilities.
With over 160 members and 30 flight instructors, including national champions and world-class pilots, FRA provides diverse pilot training programs such as LAPL, PPL, night visual flight rules (NVFR), glider towing authorization, and aerobatic training.
Ideal for student pilots interested in both silent soaring and powered flying, FRA offers flexible schedules and experienced instructors in a strong community setting. Trial flights are available for newcomers.
The club's facilities include a large hangar capable of housing over 30 private aircraft. Its location and infrastructure make it a prominent choice for pilot training and recreational flying in Austria.
