Flugring Austria Wiener Neustadt (FRA) is one of the largest and most recognized aviation clubs in Austria, based at the military-civil airfield Wiener Neustadt West (LOXN). It operates a modern fleet comprising motor aircraft, motor gliders, and gliders, and benefits from excellent year-round flying conditions thanks to its unique location between the Alps and the Hungarian plain, featuring six runways and extensive gliding facilities.
With over 160 members and approximately 30 flight instructors, including national champions and world-class pilots, FRA provides a comprehensive range of pilot training programs such as LAPL, PPL, night visual flight rules (NVFR), glider towing authorization, and aerobatic training.
The club is ideal for student pilots interested in both silent soaring and powered flight, offering flexible scheduling and experienced instructors within a welcoming community.
Facilities include a large hangar accommodating over 30 private aircraft, making FRA a prominent choice for pilot training and recreational aviation in Austria.
