Luftsportclub Borkenberge e. V. is a German motorflight club based at the private airfield Flugplatz Borkenberge in Lüdinghausen. Founded in the early 1960s, the club has over 90 members from the Münsterland and Ruhrgebiet regions dedicated to promoting motorflightsports and pilot training. It operates a fleet including Cessna F150 and F172M aircraft and ultralight aircraft Comco C42 and Aeroprakt A32 L in cooperation with Luftsportclub Recklinghausen e. V. The club also offers a high-end flight simulator with realistic cockpit and triple 55-inch 4K screens for training and recreation, free for members.
LSC Borkenberge provides motorflight training culminating in the European Light Aircraft Pilot Licence (LAPL) (A), requiring at least 30 flight hours with instructors and theoretical courses via blended learning. Unique one-day introductory motorflight courses are offered in cooperation with Volkshochschule Münster, combining theory and practical flight experiences. Additionally, the club has a "Co-Pilot" membership allowing enthusiasts to fly without a pilot's license, offering access to club flights and simulator use at favorable rates.
The club is managed by a board of licensed pilots who also conduct flight training. It organizes pilot tours and events regularly, emphasizing community and education in motorflight.
The privately owned Flugplatz Borkenberge offers a unique setting for aviation enthusiasts and student pilots interested in motorflight sports and pilot training in Germany.
