The Luftsportvereinigung Schwarzwald-Baar e.V. based at Donaueschingen-Villingen airfield (EDTD) offers diverse aviation opportunities for enthusiasts, including ultralight flying, motor gliding, gliding, and powered flight. The club's fleet features various aircraft such as Bristell and Breezer ultralights, the Scheibe SF 25C motor glider, several gliders (ASK 21, ASK 13, KA 8, ASW 19), and a four-seat Piper PA 28 for cross-country and European flights.
The club provides pilot training starting from age 14, covering LAPL (A) and SEP ratings along with theoretical and radio communication instruction. Training is supported by voluntary flight instructors and offers options for weekend and commercial ultralight training.
Donaueschingen is an ideal base for scenic glider flights over the Baar, Black Forest, and the Alb. The year-round availability of motor gliders suits sightseeing and photographic flights while the Piper PA 28 enables flights across Europe.
Active in events and competitions, the club supports members achieving success in German gliding championships and fosters a vibrant aviation community.
