
Luftsportvereinigung Schwarzwald-Baar e.V. in Donaueschingen offers extensive opportunities for aviation enthusiasts across multiple disciplines including ultralight aircraft, motor gliders, sailplanes, and powered airplanes. The club operates training programs starting from age 14, utilizing a varied fleet such as the Bristell ultralight, Scheibe SF 25C motor glider, and Piper PA 28 four-seat powered aircraft. Training includes pilot licenses like LAPL (A), SEP rating, theoretical lessons, and radio communication instruction offered in cooperation with the nearby Flugschule Nikolaus at Donaueschingen airfield (EDTD). Ultralight flight training is available both through the club and the Flugschule Nikolaus, offering flexible options for students. The location is ideal for gliding and scenic flights over the Baar, Black Forest, and Alb regions. Members can also store private aircraft in club hangars. The club actively participates in events and has members successful in German gliding championships.
