SCP Sportflieger-Club Porta e.V. is a German aviation club and flight school based at Porta Westfalica Airport (EDVY). Founded in 1965, it has over 165 members including 111 active pilots, with a strong focus on safe and high-quality flight training. The club offers comprehensive pilot training programs for the Private Pilot Licence (PPL A) and Light Aircraft Pilot Licence (LAPL A), supported by thorough theoretical instruction covering aviation law, meteorology, human performance, navigation, and bilingual radio communication in English and German.
Practical training is organized in three progressive steps enabling solo flying in the circuit, cross-country flying, and preparation for the final exam, using classic training aircraft such as the Cessna 172 and Piper PA-28 variants. Additional offerings include night flight training, multiple levels of radio communication licenses (BFZ I, BFZ II, AZF), and flight instructor courses. The club also provides charter flights and introductory "Schnupperkurs" flights for beginners.
SCP Sportflieger-Club Porta e.V. features a supportive flying community with annual check flights for members, easy bookable aircraft charter, and social events fostering camaraderie among aviation enthusiasts.
