Luftsportclub Nienburg/Weser e.V. is based at Nienburg/Holzbalge airfield (ICAO: EDXI) in Germany. The club offers comprehensive pilot training including licenses such as LAPL (A), PPL (A), and Night VFR qualifications. The airfield features an 850m grass runway suitable for aircraft up to 2000 kg, including gliders, motor gliders, and ultralight aircraft.
The club operates a fleet including the Robin R3000, SF 25 C Falke motor glider, and Aquila AT01. Training is provided by volunteer flight instructors with flexible scheduling.
Members benefit from access to multiple club-owned aircraft for chartering, which helps reduce costs and supports continued flying after obtaining a license. The club promotes a social environment with regular gatherings and emphasizes safety and thorough theoretical and practical education.
The airfield control tower operates mainly on weekends and occasionally on Wednesday afternoons in summer, communicated via Nienburg Radio on 133.165 MHz.
Visitors and prospective pilots are welcome for visits and introductory talks, offering a friendly environment for aviation enthusiasts and flight training.
