Flugplatz Rotenburg (Wümme) is a general aviation airport strategically located in the Elbe-Weser triangle near Hamburg, Bremen, and Hannover. It serves various aircraft types including motor planes, helicopters, gliders, and ultralight aircraft. The airfield features its own fuel station offering Avgas 100LL, Jet A-1, and Super Plus fuels. Facilities include seminar and training rooms, and hangar rental. Flight training covers pilot licenses such as LAPL, PPL, theoretical lessons, night VFR, ICAO language tests, multiple radiotelephony licenses, and flight instructor courses. The airport also hosts scenic flights and acts as a convenient stopover point for private and business pilots. Seasonal operation with noise restrictions applies on certain days. The on-site restaurant is currently closed but efforts are underway to find a new tenant. A prominent Transall aircraft from the Bundeswehr is displayed on-site as a local landmark.
