Planned Missed Approach Communication

Once ATC approves a planned go-around or missed approach, they are prepared for your action. You will conduct the approach as normal. When you reach the go-around altitude or decide not to land, you execute the published missed approach procedure without requesting clearance. However, you must immediately inform ATC of your action using the correct phraseology.

The key phrase is "going around." This immediately signals to ATC that you are executing a missed approach. ATC then issues instructions for your climb and turnaround.
