Sportsarea Grimming operates the Alpenflugschule Niederöblarn flight school at LOGO Niederöblarn airfield, located within a larger sports and wellness center in the Schladming-Dachstein region of Austria. The flight school offers flexible pilot training programs including gliding courses that can be completed in about three weeks, motorized flight training without fixed dates, and radio communication licenses (BFZ, EFZ, AFZ).
The gliding pilot license (SPL) training is modular and includes motor glider starts, aerotows, solo flights in Ka-8 gliders, and navigation flights with instructors. The fleet includes aircraft such as the DA40-180, Robin DR400/180R, Katana DV20, HK36 Super Dimona, SF25-C Falke, DG-1001 Club, LS 4b, Astir G102, Ka7, Ka8, and L23. Students benefit from training without landing fees on school aircraft, supporting cost-effective learning.
The venue offers additional amenities like hotel accommodation, wellness areas, and extensive sports facilities, blending aviation training with leisure and sport activities.
